Dynasty Asset Management (Pty) Ltd is a boutique owner-managed company focused exclusively on the provision of investment management services, together with wealth-related solutions to select domestic and global private clients. The company was founded in March 2005 by Barry Dubb through the acquisition of a long-standing client base dating back to 1987. Today, Dynasty enjoys an enviable track record in terms of having delivered consistent, leading, risk-adjusted investment returns through different market cycles, and also has an outstanding reputation for client service excellence.

The company has an extraordinary client retention rate of 99% with over 50% of individuals having been clients of Barry for more than 20 years. Approximately 75% of the client base has been with Dynasty since its inception.

As an independent organisation, the Dynasty investment portfolios are constructed and managed on an unbiased basis through the extensive use of qualitative and quantitative input, sourced from leading research houses, economists and other industry specialists.

The investment objective of the portfolio is to provide investors with income and long-term capital growth from a portfolio that maintains a low risk profile whilst aiming to preserve capital over time.

To aim to provide a level of capital protection, the portfolio will be limited to a maximum of 40% equity exposure of the portfolio’s net asset value. The composition of the portfolio shall reflect the investment structure of a retirement fund with a cautious risk profile and will comply with prudential investment guidelines to the extent allowed by the Act.

Investments to be included in the portfolio may, apart from assets in liquid form, consist of equity securities, non-equity securities, convertible stock, preference shares and property securities as well as any other securities which are considered consistent with the portfolio’s primary objective and that the Act may allow from time to time. The portfolio may also include participatory interests in portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar collective investment schemes registered in the Republic of South Africa or of participatory interests in collective investment schemes or other similar schemes operated in territories with a regulatory environment which is to the satisfaction of the Manager and the Trustee of a sufficient standard to provide investor protection which is at least equivalent to that in South Africa.

The portfolio may from time to time invest in listed and unlisted financial instruments, in accordance with the provisions of the Act, and the Regulations thereto, as amended from time to time, in order to achieve the portfolio’s investment objective.

The investment objective of the portfolio is to provide investors with long-term capital growth through investments in a diversified portfolio of equity securities and non-equity securities.

Investments to be included in the portfolio may, apart from assets in liquid form, consist of equity securities, non-equity securities, convertible stock, preference shares and property securities as well as any other securities which are considered consistent with the portfolio’s primary objective and that the Act may allow from time to time. The portfolio may also include participatory interests in portfolios of collective investment schemes or other similar collective investment schemes registered in the Republic of South Africa or of participatory interests in collective investment schemes or other similar schemes operated in territories with a regulatory environment which is to the satisfaction of the Manager and the Trustee of a sufficient standard to provide investor protection which is at least equivalent to that in South Africa.

The portfolio may from time to time invest in listed and unlisted financial instruments, in accordance with the provisions of the Act, and the Regulations thereto, as amended from time to time, in order to achieve the portfolio’s investment objective. The Manager may also include unlisted forward currency, interest rate and exchange rate swap transactions for efficient portfolio management purposes.

The investment objective of the portfolio is to provide long term capital growth while preserving capital, by providing investors with exposure to an international collective investment scheme portfolio comprising a diversified mix of global exposure to various asset classes.

The Global Preserver Fund, the target portfolio, will diversify investments across various asset classes whilst investing a maximum of 60% of the Net Asset Value of the Fund directly in global equity securities and/or indirectly through investment in Underlying Funds. The portfolio is not focused on any specific geographical area, industry or sector. The portfolio intends to invest in transferable securities in the form of global equities, real estate investment trusts (REITS), global bonds (which may be government and/or corporate, fixed and/or floating, rated and/or unrated),  and global equity linked securities (which may include, but are not limited to, such instruments as common stock, preference shares and other securities with equity characteristics or conferring the right to acquire equity securities, such as depositary receipts and preference shares), and which are listed on Recognised Markets. Investment in REITS will not exceed 25% of the Net Asset Value of the Fund. It may also invest up to 100% of its Net Asset Value in cash and/or cash equivalents (including, but not limited to, US Treasury Bills, cash deposits, commercial paper, short-term money market instruments and certificates of deposit) for cash flow purposes or as part of a temporary defensive strategy or where the Investment Manager believes that economic, financial and political conditions make it advisable to do so.

The target portfolio may invest up to 100% of its Net Asset Value in the units and/or shares of underlying funds which provide exposure to the asset classes in which the portfolio can directly invest, subject to a maximum exposure of any one underlying fund not exceeding 20% of the portfolio’s Net Asset Value and subject to the portfolio not investing more than 20% of its Net Asset Value in unregulated funds.

Investments to be included in the Dynasty Ci Global Preserver Feeder Fund will, apart from assets in liquid form, consist solely of participatory interests of only one collective investment scheme portfolio, namely the Global Preserver Fund, being a sub-fund of Ci Global Investments RIAIF ICAV, an open-ended umbrella type Irish collective asset-management vehicle with variable capital and with segregated liability between sub-funds, authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland.

The investment objective of the portfolio is to provide long term capital growth, by providing investors with exposure to an international collective investment scheme portfolio comprising a diversified mix of global exposure to various asset classes.

The Global Accumulator Fund, the target portfolio, will diversify investments across various asset classes whilst investing a minimum of 80% of the Net Asset Value of the Fund directly in global equity securities and/or indirectly through investment in Underlying Funds. The portfolio is not focused on any specific geographical area, industry or sector. The portfolio will have exposure to global equities and global equity linked securities (which may include, but are not limited to other securities with equity characteristics or conferring the right to acquire equity securities, such as depositary receipts) which are listed on Recognised Markets. Investment in REITS will not exceed 25% of the Net Asset Value of the Fund. Whilst the Fund will be primarily managed with an equity bias over time, the Fund may also invest up to 20% of its Net Asset Value in bonds (fixed and/or floating; government and/or corporate; and rated and/or unrated), cash and cash equivalents (including, but not limited to, US Treasury Bills, cash deposits, commercial paper, short-term money market instruments and certificates of deposit) for cash flow purposes or as part of a temporary defensive strategy or where the Investment Manager believes that economic, financial and political conditions make it advisable to do so.
